Dishwashers

Cycle does not start
  • Check power point is turned on
  •  
  • Check circuit fuse or breaker
  • Pressed Power Button?
  • Check door is pushed close until it ‘Clicks’
  • Program cycle selected
  • Pressed start button?
Cycle doesn't complete
  • Door opened prior to end of cycle
  • Error displayed – refer to manual
  • Hot inside? Filters clean?
Plates & glasses not clean
  • Check detergent quantity is correct.
  • Check that both spray arms rotate freely, not blocked by cutlery / frypans etc.
  • Check dishwasher is loaded correctly
  • Is correct cycle selected to suit load
  • Clean ALL filters, Wash in hot soapy water.
Not draining
  • Is the sink drain spigot drilled out?
  • Is drain hose loop installed?
  • Clean ALL filters, Wash in hot soapy water.
Dishwasher does not fill
  • Check that dishwasher hose tap is open.
  • Check fill hose not kinked, was hose crushed at installation? Remove dishwasher to check, and feed hoses back thru when pushing back in.
  • Clean fill hose strainer, can be found at the tap end of the hose.
  • Check dishwasher tap in cupboard for water flow.
Excess Foaming
  • Ensure that correct quantity of dishwasher detergent is being used.
  • Ensure that ‘dishwasher detergent’ is being used, and NOT sink detergent.
  • Check that liquid rinse aid and tablet with rinse aid capsule are NOT being used together.
General tips
  • Read the manual.
  • Scrape all food scraps from plates prior to placing in the dishwasher.
  • Do clean the filters at regular intervals, at least weekly, Wash in hot soapy water.
  • Do wipe the inside of the dishwasher and the door seal to keep clean.
  • Don’t overload the dishwasher.
  • Don’t double dose using liquid rinse aid and tablets with the rinse aid capsule, as this causes excess foaming.
  • Don’t load powder detergent or a tablet into a WET dispenser. Dry thoroughly.
  • Don’t use sink detergent in the dishwasher. Use dishwasher descaler on a regular basis

Microwaves

Door Glass Steams 
This is normal, especially when cooking high moisture foods e.g.: Vegetables, Pasta or Rice.
No beeps when buttons pressed
Unplug for 30 seconds.
General Tips
  • Do clean at regular intervals refer to booklet for cleaning methods
  • Don’t directly spray cleaners on the graphics / icons  refer to cleaning instructions

Cooktops

Glass has dimples or pimples in glass
Clean glass with ceramic glass cleaner and razor scraper. Clean glass after each use.
Flame dosent come through properly
Make sure the caps and burners are placed correctly after cleaning

Ovens

No clock display
Check fuse / circuit breaker
Oven won’t start
  • Turn power off & on, reset time. Refer to manual
  • Is time set? Check manual to set time
  • Set in Auto mode? – see manual to cancel auto mode
Light Globe blown
Refer to manual to replace globe.
Burning food, oven too hot ?
Check thermostat setting, check recipe, or Pans or Trays too large blocking air flows?
Fan Forced Oven
Set temperature 20-30’c lower than recipe temperature
Not hot enough
  • Check thermostat setting
  • Check selector switch elements setting
Oven too hot
  • Check thermostat setting
  • Check selector switch setting
  • Is Tangential Cooling Fan operating?
Knobs and door feel too hot
  • All Zampetti appliances are manufactured to conform to Australian Standards. Surface temperatures will elevate to some degree, depending on intensity and duration of use. No curerntly available system can completely contain heat from an oven
  • Oven and grill must always be used with door closed.
  • Door seal broken ? Cooling fan operating ?
Grill element only cooks on one side of oven
Preheat grill element prior to cooking. Grill with door closed. Temperature must be set to maximum for grill (broiler) use
Oven has excess smoke
Clean oven at regular intervals, pay attention to clean behind the fixed top element.
Clock flashing
Turn power off & on, reset time. Refer to manual.
Mechanical wind up bell timer not working
Fully wind timer one turn, then turn ‘back’ to time setting required.
General Tips
  • Clean the oven at regular intervals – refer to manual
  • Do cook & grill with the door closed
  • Do pre-heat the oven & grill prior to use
  • Don’t try to remove the heating elements for cleaning.
  • Don’t place any cooking dish / pan / bowl in the bottom of the oven, or cover it with aluminium foil etc, as this can lead to premature failure of the oven enamel coating.
